由于考过了某个科目，也许没机会再见到那位教授了，所以呢，把它记给我们的这一封经典邮件公布出来。
Some students came and asked me some questions: so here are the FAQs
(1) how long is the presentation?
3 minutes ONLY
(2) what is an outline?
An outline is an outline: check the dictionary.
(3) how long is the outline?
As long as the outline is.
(4) what to talk about?
The talk should be focussed on the experimental part: (for example ONLY — Do not follow
this !!) hypotheesis, experimental design (eg was there replication? etc), what was the
expt about? results? discusion? can expt be improved? etc etc
(5) is there a question time?
Yes, every presenter will be asked some questions, and ALL students are encouraged to
ask questions. Marks will be given to students who participate in discussion. If no
student asks, then I will call a student to ask question. Marks will be given to
presenter on how the questions are answered,
(6) do i have to use powerpoint?
NO, you can also use overhead project, or just talk only.
(7) can i choose my own topic?
yes, provided it is an experimental type. If you choose your topic, email a copy of the
topic.
(8) what if i have chosen a topic which is not an experiment?
Then you fail.
(9) can i send the ppt later?
NO you CANNOT. at least 2 days before your talk.
(10) how is the presentation marked?
50% on presentation style (eg voice, mannerism, whether just reading from notes or
actually presenting, illustration, etc)
50% on contents (what is being presented)

我很讨厌那些因为以为自己有权力地位的人而很傲慢的人。这些人被我label为败类。就是因为有这种人，这世界才会这么乱。
我会这么讨厌这类人呢，大概也许我也是其中一个这种败类。不过言归正传，根据我的观察，那些真正的强人，虽然他们对事情的看法和做法是很强悍的，可是他们本质上是很虚心和低调的人。大多数这些人还有一个特点就是能够很快的和人打成一片，也能够给人一种觉得被重视的感觉。

学海编辑rawangboy之前说过要做一些帮助本地中文blogosphere的事情，我就觉得好奇，所以就有对他做的东西留意一下，想知道他是如何帮助本地blogosphere。
后来，原来他为马来西亚中文blog做的事就是提供一个BSP (Blog Service Provider)，类似blogger，无名这种的，名字就叫做ifublog。ifublog的宗旨是推广本地blog，不过我被他的概念搞乱了。
根据ifublog的Q&A，
Q:寫Blog有什麼好處?
A:記錄一些心情、發生過的事，日後可以參考。保持寫文字的習慣。
Q:如何加入ifublog？
A:ifublog是要邀請的，你可以找已有的人邀請你。
Q:ifublog有什麼特別？
A:ifublog採用“社區”的概念，這裡的會員都是你的朋友、朋友的朋友。
Q:這個概念有什麼特別？
A:剛開始寫Blog的人很難持久，這裡的會員會互相鼓勵和協助。比如我找你加入，我會關注你的Blog。
Q:ifublog有什麼特別功能？
A:基本功能齊全，可以貼文章、留言、引用等。沒有最好的功能，只有最好的創意。
Q:ifublog目前有什麼計劃？
A:目前的計劃找三十位團員，當到達人數會舉辦一個內部選舉，選出“最友善Blog”，擬定送出USB Flash Memory（1GB，Pen Drive）（有意贊助的人請聯絡我）。
Q:每位團員可以介紹幾位朋友參與？
A:三位。
这让我觉得奇怪，这是如何推广本地blog的呢？这好像是把自己局限在自己一个空间里面。如果要推广，好像应该把blog往外发展，可是这好像是封建自己，只局限于自己内部人看的，和friendster blog这类的好象没什么分别（唯一的分别就是这个blog可以让外人留言）。
不过有人致力于做一个BSP也是好的，不过马来西亚还有很多个网站也是BSP，可是他们面对的问题就是把自己封建起来，只是自己syok自己罢了。这种封建式做法，在马来西亚，我唯一看到成功的就是《有本杂志》。
我去了ifublog那里看看，发现其实自己找不到在那里有户口的人的blog，这好像增加了其他bloggers与外人的barrier。还是主页那里做的是aggregator之类的东西？
我这一路下来是一直追着马来西亚中文blogosphere跑的人，虽然不能说所有的blog我都看过，不过我也尽量去看了。
以下是我要问的问题：
- 你说要推广本地blogs，可以列出你们主要要做的事吗？
- 为什么推广本地blogs，要把他人拉进去用你们的BSP? (这总是让我觉得好像只是壮大自己的感觉)
如果觉得我很offense的话，我也没办法。因为我很好奇。

从Jee’s Life那里发现原来中国的公安(Police)也有自己的blog，不过是用sina的，应该不是官方的。
不过Jee也提出一些马来西亚警察部队如果有自己的blog的一些好处：
- 告诉群众警察不是超人
- 成为警察是光荣的
- 为警察和人民提供一条沟通管道
- 要写一个blog是很便宜和简单的

Blog本来就是营造出来的假象。不过如果警察是大象，他们遇到大贼时会不会像大象遇到山，马上闪。

我喜欢把长得像动物的人用动物的名字来记住他们，因为这样比较好记。前提是，你要长得像一个生物。
为什么我画着熊猫与竹鸟的图呢？有听过我自创的笑话的人，就知道了。要我讲也很难，要有正确的人在现场才能讲。

很多时候，我会误认为某人是某家店里的员工，所以对他呼来唤去的。很多时候，老板被认为是伙计。
