马来西亚涂鸦很低级
Monday, July 17th, 2006 |Graffiti是一种墙上涂鸦艺术，给艺术人来说，这是艺术。除了建筑物的墙，只要是能在上面画上颜色的东西，都可以拿来涂鸦。例如：我小学学校的桌子，那每一张桌子都给我涂过鸦。
Switfy留言给了我一个meme，觉得meme应该就是拿来做这种比较有意义的东西嘛，不要胡乱问什么无聊题目。
事情是这样子的，一个马来西亚人Danny Lim拍的马来西亚独立影片，就是很闷的纪录片(documentary)，在韩国参加“国际纪录片电影节”(International Documentary Festival)被马来西亚的外交官禁止参加这个节庆。
纪录片的内容主要是拍摄一些马来西亚的涂鸦作品（我小学涂鸦是不会上镜的），这些涂鸦呢，很直接的画出一些带有政治意味的画出来。例如：关于前首相敦马哈迪的（这个纪录片是在2004年拍摄的），国民服务，还有关于人权的。这个影片被马来西亚韩国使馆列为反政府的，所以禁止上映。
你懂嘛，马来西亚人比较直接，所以画的东西也比较直接一点。不要说画画了，就连讲英文都是这样。
我就拿一个人和另外一个人借钱，被借钱的这个人没有钱，所以是这么回答的：

我对这种纪录片，独立短片，涂鸦艺术是没有什么概念的。也许Sam，Jerry和Sven，可以写一些关于这些东西的东西，你们毕竟是此道中人。
给首相的公开信

一封给首相的公开信
Jacqueline Ann SurinDear Prime Minister Abdullah, When you first came into power after the 2004 general election, you promised us that you would be prime minister for all Malaysians.
亲爱的首相阿都拉先生，当你在2004年选举后第一次得到政权时，你曾经答应过我们你会成为全民的首相。In fact, I still have the letter you sent out to voters before the elections that promised you would fulfill your duties with sincerity, integrity, efficiency and fairness.
事实上，我仍然保留着你在选举前寄给选民保证你会真心，正值，公平和有效率地完成你责任的那封信。It was a letter that moved people, including staunch Opposition supporters.
那是一封打动了人们的信，这些人包括了在野党（在这里我不用反对党）忠实的支持者。There was hope that a new leadership which was more conciliatory, more willing to listen to differing views and more just was in store for the country.
人们希望会有一个更容易妥协，更愿意听取不同意见还有为国家着想的领导人。And people invested in that hope by voting the Barisan Nasional back into power with a clear majority.
还有，大多数人很明显地把选票投资在国政以让他们得回力量。But recent events, including your administration’s reactions to these events, have been deeply troubling.
当时最近的事件，包括你的政府对这些事件的回应，让我觉得很困扰。The most recent has been the disruption of a peaceful and legitimate public forum in Penang organised by a group of non-governmental organisations that wanted to help people reclaim their rights under the Federal Constitution.
目前最让人困扰的事情就是那个中断一场在槟城有一个非政府组织举办的和平并合法的公开论坛以便能够帮人们根据宪法恢复他们的人权。It was unfortunate, but really no longer inconceivable, that those who opposed such a civil discussion should frame their opposition in ways that incite hostility, threaten violence and make false accusations in the name of Islam, a religion that in fact promotes peace and justice.
这真的是很不幸，可是却真的不敢加以想象，那些反对这个民间讨论的人，会以提倡和平和公正的伊斯兰教的名义来以煽动，暴力威胁的不实指控。What is actually more troubling is that as prime minister, you have also publicly announced that these issues of Constitutional rights are “sensitive” and the organisers of such events must be careful not to tread on “dangerous ground”, lest the government has to use the Sedition Act against them.
其实最让我困扰的是生为一个首相，你还公开宣布这些关于宪法权利的话题是“敏感”的以及警告那些主办者必须小心以免踩到“地雷”，不然的话政府将会以煽动法来对付他们。Why would you lend legitimacy to the argument that Malaysians should steer clear of discussing issues which affect us all as citizens, whether Muslim or non-Muslim?
为什么你要引用宪法来避开我们对作为一个不论是穆斯林或非穆斯林的讨论呢？By continuously telling Malaysians these issues are “sensitive” and “dangerous”, isn’t your administration really creating a self-fulfilling prophecy? Aren’t you in fact supporting the argument that these issues should not be discussed?
然后继续不断地告诉我们马来西亚人哪些是‘敏感’和‘危险’的话题，那难道是你的政府在制造一个自我实现的预言吗？难道你是事实上是支持对这些话题的争论不该被讨论？Additionally, Malaysians have been reminded by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz that it’s not for no reason that the word “amok” comes from the Malay community.
另外，马来西亚人民被首相署部长Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz提醒amok这个字从马来社群来的不是没有原因的。Non-Muslims - and that easily translates to non-Malays in this country - are told we cannot speak out about the way Islam is used to formulate laws and public policies in this country even though they affect all of us.
非穆斯林，或者更简单的说是这个国家的非马来人，被告诉说我们不能讲出伊斯兰教在这个国家影响着所有人的制定法律和公共政策的方式。We are told that not just the Sedition Act can be used, so can the Internal Security Act which allows for detention without trial.
我们被告诉说不只是煽动法可以用，内安法也可以用来不经审判地拘留我们。In fact, I found it deeply paradoxical that Nazri could repeat the threat of the ISA at an international meeting of experts on Islam and human rights last month.
事实上，我对Nazri重复地在一项讨论着伊斯兰教和人权里，在专家们面前以内安部来威胁我们感到奇怪。How can an unjust law be Islamic? We know it cannot, and yet, it would seem your administration is wielding it as a way to silence citizens in a democracy.
一个不公正的法律怎么可能是伊斯兰教义呢？我们都知道它不能，可是，你的政府好像利用它来压制人民的自由民主。The way I see it, naming something “sensitive” and “dangerous” is just a disingenuous way of saying, “This is not open for dialogue and discussion. We might tolerate your views but only to a certain extent.”

那个阶段是什么，我们都看得到。我们希望你的选举诺言能为所有马来西亚人实现，还有，我们大多数现在真的害怕多过放心。From a non-Muslim perspective, the events leading up to the need for public discussions such as the Article 11 forum in Penang, have been disconcerting and troubling.
以一个非穆斯林的角度来看，一些事件真的需要社会的讨论，例如在槟城对第十一条款的论坛，被中断以及骚扰。The painful injustice suffered by S. Shamala who found that her estranged husband could unilaterally convert their children to Islam, and the widow of M. Moorthy who discovered she could not bury her husband according to Hindu rights, are real and frightening.

另外，你做出警察必须在巡逻时必须穿戴tudung的决定时，又没有想过非穆斯林的感受？那你怎么会为大多数非穆斯林不愿加入警队感到惊讶呢？Really, I don’t need to be a Muslim or a Malay to have a stake in this country. But even that might be delegitimised because in more ways than one, I’m a minority.
真的，我不需要成为一个穆斯林或一个马来人来在这个国家里得到利益。可是虽然那可能是不合法的，不过我是少数。（这句我真的翻译不了，帮帮忙）And I’m constantly reminded that my views and concerns must give way to the privileges and rights of the dominant race, and a specific interpretation of the faith they profess.
还有我不断地提醒我自己我的想法和关怀必须给让给那些大多数族群的权利和权益，还有对他们有信心。But really what I want to ask you is this: Why do I have to constantly feel afraid in my own country? Why am I continuously told I have less rights to discuss important issues affecting my community?
但我其实是想问你：为什么我会不断地在自己的国家感到害怕？为何我不断的告知说我拥有比较少的权力去讨论那些对我的族群事关重大的话题？You promised to be prime minister for all Malaysians. We hope you will remember that promise.

德士佬，我们势不两立
Monday, May 29th, 2006 |刚刚又骂了一位德士佬，骂这些比较不肖的，似乎成了我的业余兴趣。
the whole purpose i’m writing this, is that the other day, there was some kind of operasi to catch taxi drivers that dont use meters and refusing to go to certain destination. what they did was, some plain cloths officer will get into the listed taxis and set a trap for them. the thing is this, the whole operation, according to my taxi friend, the authorities only nabed chinese taxi drivers, which actually pissed them off. so i mildly ask, maybe the majority of the taxi drivers are chinese, he said no, there are more malay taxi drivers. and he said whether you believe or not, most taxi drivers that dont use meters are malay. and to make things worse, he claim that it was also in the malay daily in regards to this operasi.

我很常经过这些非法的taxi gang，有时候会听到他们在传授他们的吸血法则给新人。Conversation如下：

Old-Taxi: They always say they’re students lah, charge them cheap a bit. I tell you, because they’re student, any price also can one.
New-Taxi: yayaya
有时很真的很想smack他们。而且又不能对他们做什么。我们要抵制这些人。有为诚实的taxi佬对我说，他们这种人是不能park在那些非法人的parking里的，因为会被打。
Honest-Taxi: I can’t park there, so i park here wait for you, orelse they’ll hit me.
觉得真得很可恨一下，那些parking space都不会给这些非法taxi业者parking的，可是它们偏偏park住，不让其他的人park。很多次我看到其他车辆park在他们的parking范围时，竟然被赶走，还用那cheap cheap的烂铁proton saga去撞那些车。
如果买票和搭那些非法的taxi业者都是一样的价钱（就是没有跑表的），请问你会搭哪个？

这些不肖人士，只要我有机会我就会把他们搞死死。
制服诱惑

我也觉得的马航还是不要换制服的好，这么多年了，一直以来都是用同样的制服。看到衣就想起人，看到kebaya就想起马航，如果换的话，那又要重新宣传了。不过如果服务态度还是那么不好的话，我看还是换一下制服以遮丑。还有啊！不知道什么人那么无知，说穿kebaya将会诱惑人（我觉得这些人变态）。我说，大多数男人对女子的胸部有兴趣，是不是要把女子的胸部切除？

马来西亚公司如何赚钱？

Ah Jay在他的blog里讲到他的lecturer说这么一句：
外国人（指australia,uk等国家）靠智慧来工作赚钱，但马来西亚人是靠人际关系来赚钱的
这句话很对的。在马来西亚大多数公司都是中小企业，国家的经济也是靠这些企业的。
Teng-Yong也写了一篇拿Air Asia和MAS与软体业来比较的文章。
最近也许不会那么常blogging了，不过仍然希望能够每天一篇。
The Door, The Ceiling and The Water
Monday, February 27th, 2006 |I got a room in sunway monash condo, but guess what, there’s a lot of things spoiled in that unit.
First of all, it’s the door. The side of the door was loose and the whole door is coming out and it can’t be closed. Besides, the lock is broken too. Which means even you force the door to close (you must kick the door), you still unable to unlock it! That’s incredible! People can just easily come in and steal our things.
Besides, the ceiling in our unit, all along the corridors and both bathroom is badly leaking. It’s because of the air-con water.
On 18th of Feb 2006, Saturday, one of the management come to our unit. So i show him all the spoiled part, the doors the ceiling, etc. He asked me to report them to him on Monday (they don’t work on Sunday). Well, he’s a friendly guy, so i decide to do what he told me.
But the sad incident came, on that night, it was raining cat and dogs, then while i was in the room, i heard a big “bang” sound. It freaks me out and i just open my door and saw the whole piece of ceiling at the bathroom (room is just opposite the bathroom, bad feng-shui) fall down on the floor. It was fortunate that no one was in the bathroom. The ceiling was break into small pieces at the edge, and you can see that how heavy is the ceiling.
So on monday, 20/2/2006, i was having my orientation in the early morning. So in the afternoon when i came back, i tried to find the management several times but i failed to because there’s no one in the office. So i went to another office to find other management telling one of them the matter, they asked me tried to find the management in my block. But coincidently, there’s this contractor in the office, so he told the constructor follow me to the unit and see what’s going on. I brought him and showed him everything. Then the constructor said, “tell the management at your block later.” I only manage to saw one of the management in my block’s management office at 3 something pm. He’s not the guy i met last time in my unit. So i’m tellin him what’s going on in my unit. He recorded what i reported in a piece of paper and i thanks him.
Days passed, and i still see no one come to solve the problem. I thought maybe they need sometime to process the stuff. On 23th or 24th, i came back and saw the piece of ceiling was put aside. And i bet it’s most probably the act of the maid who cleans our unit. I was like “wtf!”.
So on 25th feb 2006, saturday, i went out for the whole day. At late night i came back, i saw the ceiling that was put aside was gone. I thought finally there’s someone come and fix the problem. Then when i look up, i was stunned. Guess what? They put the broken celing back to its positions and you can still see the breaking part. I checked the rest of the ceiling on the wall, still leaking. You can see water on the corridor, and the door still remain opened (can’t be close without force).
I really do hope they can fix the problem as soon as possible as it’s risking my life there. And also, just now when i took my shower, the water stink. It’s not the normal stink, it stink like shit. It’s SHIT! Or you can call it the salted-fish-shoes-smell. You can even smell your body like shit! I quickly rush to another bathroom and wash myself several times to make sure the smells is totally gone. I think i won’t wash my clothes for few days first, just in case my clothes don’t stink like a salted fish.
I’ll keep track it took how long to fix something that risk the hostelites’ lifes. And please clean the stinky water too. I feel like hating myself because of the smells on my body.
中国遗忘的华人

马来西亚的华人除了六九年发生了严重的「五一三」种族冲突以来，马来人、印度人、华人等等民族进行了大混战，风风雨雨走到了今天，也是因为这次民族冲突对马来西亚造成的沉重灾难，马来族人得到了觉悟，明白了各民族和睦共处的可贵，以团结各民族为基础，发展马来西亚，致使今天的马来西亚得到了巨大的发展和丰硕的成果，生活在马来西亚的华人一直平平淡淡，知足、知乐。
马来西亚人是知道民族团结的可贵，可是很多政治人物却借以挑起族群间，以便得到选票。再加上“五一三”事件在现在的历史课本里没什么详细的资料，要知道详细的五一三事件是很难的。中国人对马来西亚是非常不了解的，从孩提时的课本，从媒体报章，基本上都没有马来西亚的痕迹，现在的中国人还搞不懂马来西亚并不是印尼，也搞不清东南西北，不知马来西亚为何物，直教人摸不着头脑，当一个大马华人对中国人说我来自大马时，这个中国傻子会说，哦！你的中文说的真好,然后继续的痴呆。这可能与马来西亚是一个普通的小国有关，在国际上并不怎么出众，也甚少天灾人祸，所以很容易被人遗忘，其实平淡也是一种福丫！由于中国人的说话习惯，称呼马来西亚华人时，都会以马来华人相称，其实这是对马来西亚华人的不尊重，这等同于把马来西亚华人变成了马来族的附庸，所以为了免除不必要的误会，中国人因该以大马华人相称为佳。
由于环境太好，不只华人，其实其他族群也是因为太太平了，少了一种上进心，也不会关心时事政治。常常等事情发生后才马后炮。马后炮过后又没及时亡羊补牢。谈到马来西亚华人对中国的认识，这让笔者我非常遗憾，我真的不能理解，在信息这么发达的今天，大马华人对中国的认识还停留在七十年代，也就是认为中国人个个都穿着人民服，满街苍蝇，贫穷又落后。其实这与他们的祖辈有关，他们的祖辈都是从中国最贫穷落后的年代出去的，自然的就会告诉他们的子孙后代中国是啥样的，给他们的子孙从小勾勒出了中国贫穷落后的模样。然而大马的教育也让笔者我触目惊心，新一代的马来西亚华人孩子坐在明亮宽敞教室，坐着宝马车来上学的华人孩子，每天衣来伸手，饭来张口的华人孩子只学会了政府为他们量身订造的青蛙课程，没有自己的思想，没有辨别事物的能力，没有追求真相的激情。加上西方长期的妖魔化报道，加上港台长年累月的歧视氛围，再加上一群从大山沟出去的中国人在马来西亚表现出来的随地吐痰，随地扔垃圾，随地大小便，去茅厕不冲水，排队没有秩序，这些大山沟出去的，或者是暴发户所表现出来的不文明自然让中国雪上加霜。但是大马华人并不知道，经过二十五年改革开放的中国已经初露锋芒，仅南方一座不知名的小城深圳的现代化、繁荣程度就比吉隆坡高的多。
其实部分原因不是因为祖辈的关系，前几年很多人去中国旅行时，那里的状况就是那样。除此以外，中国确实还有很多乡村地带还是那样。马来西亚年轻一代确实很多都是衣来伸手，饭来张口的culture，不过中国城市地带难道不是如此吗？而且马来西亚华人中，也有很多是贫穷的。确实很多中国人以为吉隆坡比上海繁荣，不过事实上不是。大马华人很要面子，好强又好胜，既而演变成心胸狭窄，超小气。富裕的人傲视万物，目空一切，惟利是图，没有一点职业操守，眼中除了利益还是利益，所做的事情也不考虑影响有多么的深远。就像中国的爆发户那样，虽然穿着名牌衣服、戴着金捞手表，但依然是一颗包装美丽的发霉糖果。然而对于比他们强的人又是那么的尊重和敬仰，这跟日本人有点相象。有钱的人总喜欢炫耀自己的财富，对贫穷者是一副天皇老子的模样，歧视别人，瞧不起别人。
那里人不爱面子的？利益谁不追求？我记得之前我去中国几次，很多次买东西时，都被人骗，那不是唯利是图？不是没有职业操守？每个地方都有不良商家，我也很讨厌这些不良商家，不过这些人大多数的生意大多数都不会持久的。老实说，有钱人从不炫耀自己的财富，只有笨蛋才会那么做。（那些datin我就不懂了）华人圈内部又是战国七雄，正所谓饭饱就会思淫欲，在幸福的生活中就会找一些细艺来做，赚完钱繁忙过后的大马华人会把中国老祖宗遗留下来的优秀传统内斗拿来消遣一番，公司斗，报章杂志斗，阶级斗，老少斗，子女斗，公婆斗，政党斗，大陆斗，香港斗，台湾斗，新加坡斗…。你斗我，我斗你，斗天斗地斗鬼神，你害我半斤，我就阴你八两，誓把你斗跨、斗臭、斗残为止！把内斗传统发挥的淋漓尽致，其实这些行为都很要不得！大马华人因该学会成大事者不拘小节，学会收敛，学会谦虚，学会团结。
确实我们不会团结。不过在某些事情上我们的团结力量还是会显示出来的。不拘小节？如果我们不拘小节，如何在这个大马社会混下去？如何能在不公平的政策里生存？就是因为我们每样都算得清清楚楚，所以我们才能够累积到目前的成就。中国朋友们，如果叫你们不要理会历史，不要再管日本以前的种种作为，你们能办到吗？这是一样的道理。谈到马来西亚华人在捍卫中华文化方面所作出的巨大贡献实在是让笔者我感动万分，虽然马来族政府有些偏心，对华人教育一些不公平的对待，加上华人学校的资金短缺（这个中国政府以及全球华社可以私底下赞助些），但也未能阻挡大马华社以及各界捍卫祖先文化的坚定信念，今天大马华人的汉语水平是除中港台外世界上最杰出的，汉语水平之功力深厚另人瞠目结舌。仅此向马来西亚各界特别是教总、董总所作出的卓越贡献致以崇高敬意！在你们辛勤的工作下；桃李满芬芳，营造了一个多彩缤纷的大红花国度。
可以告诉你们说，年轻一代我们已经没那么重视文化了。

这篇报道其实只讲到马来西亚，新加坡和印尼。我觉得他们忽视了很多地方的华人，例如泰国（不可忽视的国家），欧美，以及其他国家（人家说有赚钱的地方就有华人）。这篇文章确实是很general的讲述一些华人在他地的情况，但却不能够完全的描述。
我现在才知道原来马来西亚新闻网站在中国也是被block的。
带手机去学校
Friday, January 13th, 2006 |最近学生是否可以带手提电话去学校的话题沸腾腾啊！
以我说，不阻止学生带手机是值得实施的！
有些学生在报纸上这么说，学生不适合带手机，理由我也懒得说。这些学生呢，扪心自问，那真的是你的真心话吗？还是说你看到记者，想到自己会上报纸，所以说一些“正义”的话？这样你在报纸的形象会好一点，或者校方会对你的印象好点？省省吧！你要学会做作还嫩着呢！做作不是随便就可以的，不然会使人对你厌恶。恶心。
另外有些家长也说不要学生带手机。如果是因为经济方面的问题，这是可以理解的。不过你不能，不要阻止别人啊！这很不厚道的，而且还很幼稚。为什么我这么说呢？因为这就符合所谓的“宁为玉碎，xx瓦全”（我忘了）当然，家长反对的原因还有很多，我在这里说不完。不过还是让你的孩子虽是携带手机比较好，这样又紧急事件时，可以联络你，或者你可以联络到他。
校方呢？老师们怕学生上课分心？这是考验一个老实得EQ和IQ了。虽然我这么说很不负责任，不过生为现代学生的经验，如果我们觉得一个老师好的话，我们起码会给他最基本的尊重。（这句话我讲得有点心虚）
老实说，有些东西你月阻止它，人们就越要做。如果你一旦放手给人们他们想要的，反而人们不会那么想他。你想想，平时你严禁学生们在学校show他们的手机。这就造成他们总喜欢偷偷的拿手机出来，避免你们看到，你说他哪会不分心啊！现在如果在学校可以在下课以及休息时间拿出来，那学生知道他至少有那种空间与时间可以和他的手机相会，那他在班里份新的时间就大大减少。要treat学生像大人一样，相信我，你尊敬他们，他们就会尊敬你。（当然这种事不是一夜之间就能够做的）
考试偷看？你有没有那么傻？不会搜身一下才让学生进去？我老实告诉你吧，如果学生要偷看的话，不管你怎么禁止，学生们都会有办法的。我以前就读的一班，曾经在几个监考的监督下，也能够全班一起作弊。你把学生看笨，学生们还笑你没常识呢！
不要讲出那么蠢的理由了。讲一点实际的吧。我们要担心的是会不会学生们出现所谓的斗争心出来，都拿手机出来比较看一下谁的比较好。我从小就有phone-phobia，所以以前就对这类东西没兴趣。不过身边的朋友手机一个接一个换。一个是为了更好的，还有一个就是虚荣心。不过至少他们都负担得起。最怕有些学生本身经济不足，却要求一个手机。这类学生不学无术。Mission Impossible不是这样子的。不过我们往正面想，也许这会间接让学生知道钱的重要性，而且他们对钱财有所规划。再说，如果学生本身知道家庭经济负担不起，而还要那样做的话，那就是家教有问题了。
现在相信我了吧？钱是很重要的！不要买那么贵的手机！你拿来买手机的钱，不知道可以配一架多好的电脑！收集能打能接能sms就好了。拍照？你能用多少次？拿来拍美女罢了！有多少美女给你拍？（怕是我眼光高）
当然，我们不要一味的只为学生想。想想这手机为学校的业者会带来多少商机？在学校卖RM10的reload card，学校的业者都赚到笑哈哈。学校可乘此事调高租金，那学校也就有更多的经费了。什么？学校不是赚钱的？是吗？如果不需要经费，那为何需要做什么都要向学生伸手要钱？而且这现象越在明星学校越严重。
不讲钱了，伤感情。想想，如果学生可以带手机去学校，那老师本身也可以带啊！而且可以光明正大的带。不必再怕学生讲什么“为什么老是可以这样那样，而我们不可以这样那样！？”
