穷人照片故事
Glenn H. Austin是一个有三十年资历的摄影师。当他在美国的State Street走的时候,他发现很多穷人在那里,所以他就用它的相机来为这些人写故事。
Where do they go for support, these discarded people? Government and charitable agencies give them food and sometimes shelter but treat them like dirt. These unwanted folks gather on State Street where they give each other social and physical support they can’t find elsewhere. There they can experience acceptance and human touch.
When I first came to know these people I asked one group “who are you people and why are you here”. Their answer took me by surprise. “We are a family,” they said “we are The State Street Family”
