Emails for the Sunway Monash Condo posts
Few days ago, i wrote this, this and this.
Perhaps i didn’t make my purpose to wrote this posts clear (as i have bad english), i wrote these posts just to make things clear (you know the management alwasy dominate the issues and never tell us what’s going on), and also for our rights for staying there.
It’s nice that actually there’s people concerning these matters and sending me email telling me what’s going on.
This one is from Someone (not to mention the name to protect his identity):
Good to see that there’s people taking more initiative when it comes
to student rights and so on, but you should really check your facts
more before you make a fool out of yourself. All ‘hostel’ units at
Lagoon View Condominium does not belong to Sunway College, but are
privately owned. These units are leased to Sunway College to be used
for them to place students there and are managed by Sunway College. So what this is, is a situation where the actual owners of those
mentioned units not wanting to continue sub letting their property to
Sunway College anymore.
Sunway Lagoon View Condominium? I bet my english is really poor. All the previous posts i mentioned is regarding to Sunway Monash Condominium. I know that the lagoonview does not belonged to the sunway college. Perhaps i’m a fool, but that’s why i’m trying to posts these things in this blog to make the whole things clear to me and everyone out there who’s also a fool like me. First, i never say that it’s the fact for everything i posts here, i’m just not clear with the whole matter and also many hostelites, to-be-hostelites, and also no-chance-to-be-hostelites, i’m just questioning around hoping someone would give me the answer.
I’m here to apologize to the owner of djspinnet.org for quoting his lines without acknowledging him at here.
Well, before you allege anything against
Sunway, bear in mind that the Sunwah Monash Condo is actually private
property leased to Sunway, and now that the lease term is over and the
respective owners do not want to renew the lease, they have no choice
but to release the rooms. And I knew this fact before this fiasco even
happened.Sure, there are things about Sunway which I do not agree, especially
mismanagement, but I don’t think it’s a matter of fairness or not. New
students would definitely have priority over returning students, even if
you’re outstation. And imagine the tonne of new students who come in for
Pre-U yearly. I myself booked a single room but was relocated to the
penthouse in lagoonview instead, but before you think me privilege, I
was put into a 4-sharing room.I do not usually symphatize with Sunway. I am not a Sunway student, I am
a Monash student. But in this case, Sunway really does not have much of
a choice. And Sunway’s not the only college facing this problem, other
private universities and colleges have trouble placing their students in
the student accomodations as well – it’s not a Sunway conspiracy or
misamanagement.
The above is most of the parts of the email. I appreciate Jinny for this mail telling me what’s going on.
But as i wrote here, i still have doubts if these owners of the condominium are regulated by the rules and regulations of the hostel. Besides, can we ourselves bought any of the units of the condominium?
I’m really apprecitate for these emails and looking forward to more emails. Again, i would like to apologize for the ‘foolish’ things i might write and to those who might find my writings offensive. But i wrote these things with good intentions, just wanting to make things clear.

wow, surprisingly there’s someone kindly stand out for Sunway Monash COndo hostel…But i think Sunway should reduce the number of single room and transform to a twin sharing instead to ease the congestion. But then, since students nowaday are more concern about ‘privacy’ and most likely unwilling to share. Therefore, more and more single room on demand. That’s good I think, cos for me I’ll prefer single room too!But then I dunno y Sunway has to make the single room so big that can even fits for another person staying…
I think the management to rationalize the amount of students and give time interval rectrictin for the duration of staying like all student are only allow to stay in the condo up to like,say,2 years.I think TAR college and Inti College are having similar system. So that they can relief the congestion and whereby give the new students esp. Pre-U that from outstation priority to stay in hostel for a certain period until they used to the place around and then the hostel management can help out to relocate them or recommend them to other places nearby…
And I think Lagoonview is way too expensive compare to Condo hostel and their room given also pathetically small esp. the one at the kitchen(maid’s room),can’t even fit in a complete furnishing…but yet charging so high!No wonder more and more ppl prefer the condo hostel despite its curfew and need to bound to many hostel rules and regulation!
