去年在sunway hostel住的人，因为有一个叫做sunwayportal的东东（一堆人买一台电脑专门拿来share files），让大家随时都有最新的戏看。
后来这个sunwayportal的harddisk坏了，所以这阵子大家都没有戏好看。
不过最近有了搞起了这个DC ++的东西，让我们这群邪恶的翻版世界又复活起来了。
其实这东西已经搞一阵子了，而且在taylor’s也很流行一下。
下载后，可以参考这个指南。

How to use DC++

Setting up and connecting to the server

1.) Install the program (this tutorial is based on v. 0.687).
2.) Open program. Enter a nick for yourself. For Line Speed (upload), set to 100 then press ok.
3.) Click on the yellow star in the toolbar (or go to View >> Favourite hubs or hold down CTRL + F)
4.) Click on New…
5.) A box will appear. Enter the particulars. Enter any name you like for the name field. In the address field, type or paste
in the IP address 190.50.19.234 Press ok.
6.) The address you have entered should appear now. Double click or right click >> Connect the entry you have
just made.
7.) Look on the bottom of the program. There are various tabs there. A new screen + tab should of come up
and you should now be connected to the server. When you close the program and open again another time, just go to the
Favourite Hubs screen and double click the address entered earlier.

How to download files from other people

1.) When connected, right click any name you like and select Get File List. You will now download the person’s file list, which
is a list of the files they are sharing. When file list finishes downloading, a new screen will appear.

2.) Look on the left at the person’s folder. This is like Windows Explorer. Just double click the folders to
browse through them. When you see a file you want right click the file and select Download. You can also select
Download to… which allows you to specify where you want the download to be sent to on your computer.

3.) Your download will start. If not, it may be on the queue. A person who is sharing can set the number of people
they want to download from them at one time. So if the slots is full, you will be on the queue. Your download will
start later then if this happens.

4.) When finish downloading, go to File >> Open download directory to see your files on your computer. You can set
where your files are downloaded to in the Settings window. Go to File >> Settings >> Downloads and select
your download directory.

How to share files

1.) Go to File >> Settings >> Sharing. Put all the files you want to share into a folder (or different folders).
Click on Add Folder and find the folder you want to share on your computer.

2.) After you select the program will hash your files. I am not sure what hashing is, but do not worry, nothing
is happening to your files. Just allow the program to finish hashing (may take a while for large files). Once
the program finishes hashing, the files will appear on your file list ready for others to download off.

3.) To view your own file list, go to File >> Open own list.

Extra features (no need to read if you do not want to)

How to use Search

1.) Search is very useful. If there are many users and you are to lazy to go through every person to find a
specific file you want you can search for it. On toolbar click on magnifying glass (or hold down CTRL + S)

2.) On the left, type name of the file you want. If someone got the name of that file, it will appear on the
right. You can automatically right click the file and download without having to download the person’s file
list.

How to change window colour

1.) If you do not like the black and white colour then go to File >> Settings >> Appearance >> Colour and Sound.
Click on select window colour to change window colour and then select text style to change font, size and colour.
Close the entire program and re-open to see the changes.
