与聪明人共事
前几天我的managing people and organisation的tutor问我们，如果我是manager的话，那我会选择管理比你聪明还是比较迟钝的人。
这时候我想起了孙子兵法里面的一句”Avoid Strong, Attack Weak”（这句用英文说比较man一点）。避重就轻就是孙子的小人兵法，不过却历久不衰。
其实这句话在这里我比较注重avoid strong。怎么说呢？我想就算你本事再大，也不要笨到去和比你聪明的人去作对。这样往往输家是你。不过这部代表那些比你聪明的人不能当你的属下，因为如果都是写笨的人来做你的下属的话，那你怎么会进步呢？
我说，你要利用这些人而不是逃避或和他们作对。你做manager，那你重要的不是你是不是比他们聪明，重要的是你拥有managing skill。你要领导他们，不是和他们一起比赛谁的report写得比较好。

being a strong manager doesn’t mean you have to be better than everyone in every other way. There are people who use their brains, and there are people who don’t.
“nullify the strong and tackle the weak” is a better interpretation of Sun Tzu’s art of war.

“每个人都是自私的”? not necessarily so, ther r actually ppl who r willin to sacrifice themselves for the causes they believe in, such as soldier dyin for their country anti terror, muslim human bombs dyin for their religion, nurses dyin gettin bird flu infection from the patients
certainly ppl r free to be 自私, it’s the engine tat drives capitalism after all
tat’s why i find blog group as such more meaningful, at least they r driven more by ideal rather than possible $ potential
