看到红兔的这一篇：

女接线员A： “什么事？”
我：“我看到有一群印度人在街道上打架,而且有人拿着刀。” （英文）
女接线员A： “什么？你讲什么？” (语气不耐烦。)
我：“我看到有一群印度人在街道上打架,而且有人拿着刀。”（马来文。。。讲的很辛苦，讲的断断续续的）

这让我想起来我在《The Birth of the Clinic》看到得这么一段：

This new structure is indicated — but not, of course, exhausted — by the minute but decisive change, whereby the question:  ‘What is the matter with you?’, with which the eighteenth-century dialogue between doctor and patient began (a dialogue possessing its own grammar and style), was replaced by the other question: ‘Where does it hurt?’, in which we recognize the operation of the clinic and the principle of its entire discourse.

这一段是说医生在很久以前是用很直接的语气来讲话，不过后来因为要迎合病人，语气也开始改了，就像麦当劳为了逃避顾客的健康压力，所以推出健康套餐。

对我来说，警察也是服务业的一种。是为广大人民服务。我不要求他们好声好气的说话，只想要他们尽责，就像我要求人不帮人捡垃圾可是至少自己不乱丢垃圾一样。
