TM觉得很委屈
Sotong前几天email给tmnet投诉说使用p2p有困难，tmnet回复了以下的email给他。
“Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Our automated feedback system has forwarded to us for our attention and reply.
With regards to your query and slow transfer rate on peer-to-peer programs, we would like to inform that TM Net does not throttle the speed of your connections. Please be informed that, your connection speed is based upon the connection speed given by the other party. Should they can only upload 1Kb per minute, you as well will have the same.
Please be informed that we have lodged a report regarding your slow connection. Upon checking in our system, we noted that the issue is currently in progress for rectification. Your patience and understanding is highly appreciated.”
根据sotong以及很多使用streamyx的朋友告诉我说，他们本来是100kb/sec的速度在前几天减低为20kb/sec。如果tm实行限制p2p使用（bittorent, limewire, kazaa之类的软体）网速，那我并不出奇。这项措施已经在国外很多国家实行了，例如australia他们只提供60%的网速来给p2p使用者。不过如果TM把原本100%的网速减至20%，那也未免太过分了。Sotong又说：

昨天我使用的exabytes server也down了，本来我是怀疑又被ddos attack，今天收到exabytes的email原来是tmnet down了。

i just have streamyx today and i notice bittorrent is very suspicious slow.. compare to my existing time.net webbit.. streamyx p2p is totally hopeless
after few blogs i pretty sure tm is doing something bad behind.. they probably had installed Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) hardware to throttle p2p.. DPI is capbale to block today p2p entirely regardless encryted or not..
